Tripoli, 14 October 2013:

Libyan footballer Mohamed Al-Maghrabi, who plays for both Tripoli’s Al-Ahly Club and the Libyan National . . .[restrict]Team, was shot and wounded in his right arm today.

The reason for the attack, by unknown gunmen, is not yet clear. There is concern, however, that Al-Ahly is being deliberately targeted, after coach Hossam Al-Badri was shot at on Saturday. He escaped the attack unhurt.

A posting on the club’s official Facebook page said that several players had been threatened, although the nature of these threats was not disclosed. [/restrict]
