Tripoli, 8 October 2013:
A group of armed men stormed the Prime Minister’s office yesterday, claiming they had not been . . .[restrict]paid for several months.
The men apparently belonged to Battalion 166, which operates under the Amy Chief of Staff. They entered a number of offices and damaged property, including breaking some CCTV equipment, according to a staff member.
Following negotiations with officials from the ministry who promised to settle the outstanding wages, the armed group left the building without resistance.
There have been a number of similar assaults on the Prime Minister’s office this year. [/restrict]
