Tripoli, 28 September 2013:
Some 20 classic cars were waved off by the Minister of Tourism this morning on their . . .[restrict]way to Tunisia.
It had been feared that the rally would have to be postponed because of the closure of the Tunisian border at Ras Jedir. However, the minister, Ikram Abdulsalam Imam, was accompanied by the Tunisian Ambassador who promised that crossing, closed to normal traffic for past four days, would be open for the rally.
The cars, lovingly looked after by their owners, who are members of the Libyan Classic Car Club, ended this afternoon on the Tunisian island of Djerba. [/restrict]
