Tripoli, 16 August 2013:

The Military Council in Qasr Ben Gashir, by Tripoli International Airport, has announced the capture of . . .[restrict]a criminal gang known as “The Black BMW”. It was named after one of the vehicles used in their raids. As many as 37 alleged members have been arrested.

The gang are said to be responsible for a spate of crimes over the past few months in the Airport Road, Janzoor, Swani, Azzeziya and the Crimea district.

The Military Council has appealed to anyone who had been a victim of theft in the areas or anywhere else where a black BMW car was involved in a crime to get in touch so that they can go and identify those detained. [/restrict]
