Benghazi, 2 August 2013:
The Ras Abeda police station in Benghazi was bombed again today. The station had been moved to the . . .[restrict]site of the Electricity Police and Civil Registry office but this did not prevent it from being bombed again today between 2.30 and 2.45 pm.
Official sources say that the bomb placed in the station weighed between 10-15 kgs causing extensive damage to the station and to surrounding buildings.
No deaths were reported, but children in nearby streets suffered cuts.
Mohamed Hijazi, the official spokesperson for the Joint Security Room told Libya Herald that “investigations were continuing at the scene”.
Furthermore, he added that “security cameras were recently installed at the police station and we will reveal any results from these shortly”. [/restrict]
