Benghazi, 30 July 2013:
One man was killed and three people were injured in car-bomb attacks targeting military and security . . .[restrict]personnel in Benghazi last night.
Libyan Special Forces officer Ahmad Al-Siddik Al-Zwai was killed in the city’s Sidi Yunis district, when a car-bomb exploded underneath his vehicle.
In a second, similar, attack, a senior security official, Ahmed Al-Kwafi, was seriously injured when a blast ripped through his vehicle near the Said Ibn Muaath Mosque. A passenger also sustained minor injuries in the explosion.
A third attack targeted Navy Colonel, Ali Huda Al-Ojali. He escaped with only minor injuries after a bomb was detonated beneath his military vehicle, which was parked outside the chief prosecutor’s office in the city centre.
