Tripoli, 16 July 2013:
The Commander of the Search and Rescue division of the Libyan Air Force, Colonel Fathi El-Emami was assassinated last night . . .[restrict]in the eastern town of Derna.
He received the fatal gunshot wounds whilst opening his jewellery shop, ‘Lujaine,’ for evening trade, according to Libyan News Agency LANA. Witnesses said the shots were fired from a black Chevrolet Optra car.
Emami was pronounced dead on arrival at Derna’s Al Hareesh hospital, where he had been carried by friends. Amami had survived a previous attempt on his life. [/restrict]
