Tripoli, 14 June 2013:
Sirte University is closed until Tuesday as a result of the fighting between students which left three dead . . .[restrict]and several others wounded, including three young women, one of whom is said to be in a serious condition.
The clashes, which occurred on Thursday, are reported to have started as an tribal argument between two families. It quickly escalated resulting into clashes within the university campus and the deaths of the three students.
The university authorities have suspended classes as well as exams which were to begin on Sunday. These will now start on Tuesday. The medical faculty, however, is operating normally. [/restrict]
