Tripoli, 7 May 2013:

The Libya International Telecommunications Company (LITC) signed a contract with French manufacturer Alcatel Libya for the . . .[restrict]installation of new switches for international calls to cover the Benghazi-Derna region.

The contract was signed by Kamal Farhat Chairman of LITC and the General Manager of Alcatel Libya in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Telecommunications and Informatics and took place at a ceremony at the Tibesti hotel in Benghazi.

LITC is a subsidiary of the Libyan Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Holding Company (LPTIC). It is the main international wholesale provider for voice and data in Libya. [/restrict]
