Tripoli, 28 May 2013:
Kenya is about to export 2,000 live camels to Libya in the first trade of its . . .[restrict]kind from East Africa.
A Mombasa-based livestock company is keeping the animals on holding farm near the port before loading them on to a specialised walk-in walk-off vessel, the MV Taiba, according to local newspaper, The Standard.
The Kenyan exporter said that after this consignment, there would be no further shipments to Libya until the rough weather expected later had passed in three or four months [/restrict]
