At today’s press conference at the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Ali Zeidan reacted to Hilary . . .[restrict]Clinton’s statement about Libya.
Former US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton was quoted as saying that the US would not interfere in Libya, but that Libya should remember the UN decision passed in February 2011 under Chapter Seven which permits to interfere.
Zeidan said that “it is not in our hands. We must persevere and must those after us and hope that we will be out of it (Chapter Seven). However, he warned that if Libya was to continue in a state of “disorder and terror” that might not be the case. But “I am not trying to frighten you”, he quickly added.
However, Zeidan added that despite the French embassy bombing “ambassadors assure us that they are with us. But internally we should unite and start rebuilding schools, hospitals and all that was destroyed by the war”.
Zeidan admitted that “we are not at our peak, but insisted on his determination and strength and confidence in our nation and people, by god’s grace”. [/restrict]
