Tripoli, 7 April 2013:
A serious fire at a teaching institute in the Gharyan district south of Tripoli yesterday, Saturday, resulted in . . .[restrict]some 70 students suffering from smoke inhalation.
Ambulances rushed to the scene and casualties were treated with oxygen and taken to Gharyan hospital, according to Libyan News Agency LANA. All the victims are apparently in good health, and many left the hospital soon after.
The fault, which set ablaze the institute, was the result of incomplete electrical maintenance work currently being carried out on the building, according to the head of the Gharyan Local Council. [/restrict]
