Representatives from 21 British universities arrived in Tripoli today looking at the possibilities of collaboration opportunities with Libyan universities and colleges . . .[restrict]as well as with ministries and related educational and training departments.

The 35-person delegation will be Libya until Thursday.  Organised with the help of the British Council, it comprises two groups. One is focussing on Healthcare Training. This includes medical, nursing, allied healthcare, paramedic training, mental health, leadership and management and educational partnerships. The other is focussing on Higher Education Capacity Building including developing educational partnerships, joint programmes, joint research, student and staff exchange, and capacity building in the areas of leadership and governance training and quality assurance.

Anyone interested in meeting any of the delegates should email [email protected] .

We anticipate that there will be excellent opportunities for both immediate agreements and the commencement of long-term, sustainable relationships.
