Tripoli, 2 March 2013:

Prime Minister Ali Zeidan continued his theme . . .[restrict]of the day at the regular Thursday press conference by attempting to rebut some of what he called as the “untrue” stories doing the rounds on the internet.

Zeidan confirmed that it was he that appointed the three members of the GNC and that it was with his knowledge that they visited Greece to follow up and monitor on some of Libya’s assets and  assets that may belong to members of Qaddafi’s family or his regime there.

He felt that the internal letter published on the internet was an attempt to meddle and cause trouble. He felt that it was within his powers to appoint who he saw fit and was surprised how much attention the issue was given. [/restrict]
