London, 20 February 2013:
Lufthansa and subsidiary . . .[restrict]Austrian Airlines have resumed flights to Libya after a 15-day suspension.
Lufthansa spokesman Aage Duenhaupt told the Libya Herald that, from today, the two airlines’ schedules to Libya “were back in the booking systems.”
The German airline had previously said that the decision to cancel flights was because of the tense situation in the region and the development of “local circumstances.”
Duenhaupt told the Libya Herald that Lufthansa had not revealed any further details, so he could not comment on specifics behind the 15-day suspension.
