Tripoli, 23 January 2013:
The . . .[restrict]high court has upheld the decision by the Integrity Commission to disbar the head of the Libyan Olympic Committee President, Nabil Elalem. The court agreed that he had not come up to its standards — which means that he had been complicit in the Qaddafi regime.
According to the Commission’s official spokesman, Nasser Bainour, the court also upheld the Commission’s decision to disbar Abdulqadir Al-Qublawi Omar Alwandi, head of the Olympic Committee’s executive office and also chairman of the Libyan Swimming Federation.
The bans on both were announced at the beginning of the month. [/restrict]
