Tripoli, 18 December:
Prime Minister Ali Zeidan received diplomats and representatives from a number of countries at the his office yesterday.
Zeidan met the Chinese ambassador, Wang Wangsheng, and the Turkish ambassador, Ali Kemal Aydin, in two separate meetings, who both relayed messages of goodwill from their countries.
Earlier in the day Zeidan also held meetings with ambassadors from Britain, Canada, Croatia, Ukraine and the UAE, who in turn passed on messages from their governments wishing him well in forming a new government.
The Arab League’s representative to Libya, Mauritanian diplomat Sheikh Al-Afiyeh Ould Khouna, was also granted an audience with Zeidan yesterday, where he congratulated the prime minister on his appointment. [/restrict]
