Tripoli, 9 December:
A group of nine French electricity companies arrived in Tripoli today at the start of a visit that will . . .[restrict]also take them to Benghazi and Misrata. It has been organised by the French government’s international export organisation Ubifrance in cooperation with the Libyan Ministry of Electricity. The group comprised electricity equipment and engineering companies as well as one involved in renewable energy
Today, Sunday, and tomorrow, the group are meeting with GECOL (General Electricity Company of Libya) and ministry officials.
They will go to Misrata on Tuesday where they will be meeting with iron and steel company LISCO and then on to Benghazi.
The visit is seen as a response to Libyan electricity needs. [/restrict]
