Tripoli, 24 October:
An aid convoy was sent from Sabratha on Tuesday to people from Bani Walid who have been forced to leave the . . .[restrict]town because of the fighting between insurgents there and government forces. Consisting of basic food items, milk, drinking water, nappies and other items, the convoy is the first from Sabratha, according to a member of the committee that has organised it.
It is reported that neighbouring Sorman also plans to send convoy for Bani Walid people in the next couple of days. It is not yet known if it will go to the town itself or to the main relief centre which has been set up at Al-Urban.
