Tripoli, 5 October:
The visit to Tripoli by French foreign minister Laurent Fabius, planned to take place tomorrow, Saturday, has been cancelled . . .[restrict]at the last minute as a result of the crisis over the appointment of the incoming government.
The one-day visit was called off at the request of the Libyan authorities who reportedly told the French that without a new government decided the visit was pointless at this point in time.
French sources say the visit will be rescheduled for a later date. [/restrict]
