National Congress President Mohammed Magarief is to speak at the annual meeting of the US-based Clinton Global Initiative which . . .[restrict]starts tomorrow, Sunday, in New York, according to an Initiative statement.
Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi is also attending. They will join more current and former heads of state, government and major political, business and media personalities.
They include US President Barack Obama, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, King Juan Carlos of Spain, Queen Rania of Jordan, President Felipe Calderón of Mexico, President Joyce Banda of Malawi, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife Cherie, Gerry Adams of Sinn Fein and Israeli Minister of Defence Ehud Barak.
The organisation was founded in 2005 by former US President Bill Clinton to assess and find solutions to international issues and raise funds for international aid projects. [/restrict]
