Tripoli, 28 April:
The Deputy Health Minister, Adel Abushufa, has been ruled ineligible for office following an investigation by the Integrity Commission. . . .[restrict]A number of people nominated to ambassadorial posts abroad have also been ruled out by the commission.
The decisions were confirmed this evening, Saturday, by the NTC’s official spokesman Mohammed Al-Hareizi.
The commission was set up to investigate members of the NTC, the government, the prime minister’s office and NTC and government offices as well as those standing for election in June to the National Congress to see if any had been involved in corruption.
It has not yet been announced if Abushufa has now been removed or who, if anyone, will replace him. [/restrict]
