Tripoli, 13 April (WAL):
Sources at Tripoli International Airport confirmed that the delay to a number of flights on Friday was caused purely . . .[restrict]by poor weather conditions.
Quoted by Libya’s official news agency, the sources attributed the delays to the strong winds and dust storm which made it difficult for aircrafts to land at the airport.
Libya Herald can confirm that Tripoli weather experienced a sudden change for part of the day on Friday, as gusts of swirling wind carrying dust and litter reduced visibility markedly in the afternoon.
The statement by the authorities dispelled any fears that the airport might have been closed for any security concerns.
