Insurance for electricity company workers

The General Electric Company says it has adopted an insurance policy to compensate workers in case against accidents in the workplace. . . .[restrict]It says it has done so  as part of its commitment to ensure the safety of its employees and that their rights are protected if injured at work.

The policy adopted by the company yesterday offers up to LD100,000 in cases of death at work. In case of injury the amount will be based on the type of injury.

It is reported that this private insurance policy will be in effect twenty-four hours a day. A health insurance for all employees of the company is also being worked on. [/restrict]
