Beida, 24 April 2015:
At their 31st session this week, members of the House of Representatives (HoR) have discussed amending . . .[restrict]Law No. 4, in order to extend the life of the current parliament.
According to the law passed by the Revolutionary Committee of the former General National Congress (GNC) which established the HoR, the parliament should end in six months.
However, members are not sure that ending the current HoR at the prescribed time is the best move for the country, especially during such a turbulent time.
Members also discussed modifying the length, frequency, location and format of future parliamentary sessions. However, no concrete decisions have yet been made.
