Tunis, 5 April 2015:
The Misrata based 166 brigade, currently charged by the GNC and is operating in and . . .[restrict]around the areas of the city of Sirte against ‘‘IS’’ forces, has imposed a curfew on Saturday and asked inhabitants of the city to keep away from areas where clashes are occurring, reports the pro GNC-Libya Dawn LANA news agency.
The report says that the curfew is from 10 pm – 6 am.
The report carried by the Tripoli-based pro GNC-Libya Dawn LANA news agency says that the 166 brigade has made this request for inhabitants to keep away from the areas where 166 brigade troops are located and are clashing with ‘‘terrorist military groups that consider themselves part of what is called IS’’.
It will be recalled that for months the pro GNC-Libya Dawn coalition has been denying the existence of any IS in Libya and had refused to use the term IS, insisting that all attacks by so-called IS forces in Libya were in fact organized by pro Qaddafi forces. [/restrict]
