Tobruk, 11 March 2015:
The Libyan government has sacked its spokesman Mohamed Bazaza. In a terse statement it said . . .[restrict]that Bazaza was no longer working for it and that any statements made by him in future were his own views and not those of the government.
There was no explanation for the dismissal. However, he is reported to have recently made comments about the growing position of the military which may have not been well received.
He is the son of Colonel Kamal Bazaza, a leading Benghazi military intelligence official who was assassinated in December 2013. [/restrict]
