Tripoli, 26 March 2014:
There was an exchange of prisoners yesterday between Suq Al-Juma and the Warshefana area. The handover . . .[restrict]was the result of mediation by a human rights organization from the east of the country, Arrahma Human Rights Organisation.
The organisation had made a number of visits to both sides to try and build bridges between them and was finally successful in securing the release of abductees.
The process was partly supervised by Hashim Bishr, the former head of Tripoli SSC. Bishr enjoys much respect and appreciation among residents of Suk-Juma as well as the elders and dignitaries of Warshefana,
The sons of Juma Sayeh, the Congress member for the Warshefana areas of Zahra and Annasiriyah who resigned last month, were among those freed in the exchange. [/restrict]
