Tripoli, 22 March 2014:
An Italian man was kidnapped today near Tobruk. His car was found abandoned with the . . .[restrict]keys and his belongings in it.
There are now fears for his life. An employee with Italian construction company Enrico Ravanelli, which is working on an infrastructure project in the town, said the man is diabetic and the kidnappers left his medical kit and insulin in the car.
The motives for the kidnapping are unknown.
Two Italians were kidnapped at Matouba on the road from Derna to Tobruk in mid-January. They were released three weeks later. [/restrict]
