Role : Sales Professional Libya – IT and Comms for Oil and Gas – FULL TIME.
Based : Tripoli, with occasional international travel when business is required.
Salary : Negotiable basic pay with uncapped commission.

Hermes Communication Technology provides telecommunications and networking services for International and National oil companies worldwide. The company has grown rapidly in recent years based on technical excellence and high standards of service and commitment to clients.
The Role
As a Sales professional for Hermes you will be based in Tripoli, although this may include other countries later on as business demands. Primarily, you will develop new customers and accounts using your own leads, also responsible for building up sales and business using Hermes’ existing customer base.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Researching the marketplace
- Identifying and contacting prospects
- Understanding prospect needs and issues from a business point of view
- To prepare Sales forecasts
- Working with the presales engineering team to develop cost-effective, attractive proposals
- Preparing quotations and tenders
- Pursuing opportunities through to a successful close
- Preparing contracts
- Reporting to Management in Tripoli and in UK, using both CRM and ad-hoc reports
- To develop an excellent knowledge of the products in order to promote them to clients
- Participating in product development and design
- Assist with building a sales plan
- Planning and preparing presentations
- Overseeing the development of marketing literature
- Providing management with market feedback
The Person
- Over 2 years’ experience in Sales
- Speak and read English and Arabic
- Have a successful track record in IT or Telecoms sales to corporate customers
- Be a good communicator
- Achieve and surpass your personal sales targets
- Valid passport able to travel internationally.
