Tripoli, 27 June 2014:
To mark the holy month of Ramadan, some 50 detainees have been released from a detention centre . . .[restrict]at Mitiga airbase by the Special Deterrence Force led by Abdul Raouf Kara.
According to the SDF, about 50 percent of the detainees had been placed at the Mitiga Institute for Reform and Rehabilitation by family members who were concerned about their drug use. Others, it said, were placed at the institute by officials.
The group was released after each one agreed to leave his life of “sin and addiction” and return to his studies or work, ready to live a better life, refusing to return to his “path of perdition”. [/restrict]
