Work will start shortly, Punj Lloyd’s General Manager in Libya, E.V.J. Shabu told Libya Herald.

According to the former head of Zliten Local Council, Abdelmoneim Al-Sarri, the project was approved by the Audit Bureau at the end of June last year. However, there were further formalities needing to be completed.

The project is Punj Lloyd’s largest in Libya, according to Shabu.  It is currently working on five housing projects in the country – two in partnership with local companies, at Arada (near Suq Al-Juma) and worth LD 258 million, and in Suq Al-Juma itself, worth LD 343 million. The other three are at Zuwara (value LD 308 million), Rigdaleen (value LD 457 million), Al-Jmail (value LD 88 million).

The five would be finished within three years, Shabu said. [/restrict]
