Tripoli, 20 March 2014:
Faced with bad and even non-existent roads in the town, Nalut Local Council is undertaking a . . .[restrict]new roads project, sponsored by a number of local companies.
“A number of local construction companies are beginning on Saturday to concrete the side streets in the mountain town,” the deputy leader of the council, Abdallah Suleiman, told the Libya Herald. “Over 30 kilometres is to be re-done,” he added.
“Many of town’s streets are 30 years old and causing traffic problems” he explained today.
Poor quality roads are an endemic problem throughout Libya, even in the capital where not only are potholes all too common but so too un-tarmacked sand streets. [/restrict]
