The Libyan National Oil Corporation said on Monday that Libya has resumed oil exploration activities and that production has risen to . . .[restrict]1.4 million barrels per day of crude and 2.3 billion cubic feet of natural gas.
The Corporation said in a statement on its website, “the NOC announced on Monday the resumption of exploration activity in Libya. Seismic survey activity was resumed in the subsidiary oil concessions of AGOCO, and the Arab Company for Geophysical Survey started implementing seismic surveys in Division No. 3 in concession NC4 in the Ghadames Basin. ”
The NOC added: “The second team will begin implementing an exploration programme in concessions 44-47-51-80 in the Sirte Basin at the end of March.”
It went on to say that all oil operations have resumed all oil fields and ports, and that the situation in the country is “safe and stable”. The best proof of this, it said, was the return to previous rates of production which currently amount to almost 1.4 million barrels of oil per day.
