NOC announces force majeure at Zawia port

Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported yesterday that its subsidiary, Zueitina Oil and Gas Company, achieved another milestone with the launch of its second injection unit.

The NOC said this injection unit will contribute to increased gas injection and higher crude oil production rates.

The NOC said crude oil production at Field 103D has reached 15,000 barrels per day, an increase of 8,000 barrels following this achievement. This success also enabled the opening of five new oil wells, bringing the company’s total production to over 31,000 barrels per day.

The NOC said this was achieved despite challenging circumstances and limited funding.
