Libyan Fintech NGO, FinOria, is organising a Hackathon from 15 to 17 November that brings together programmers, designers and young entrepreneurs to create innovative digital solutions that support digital transformation, boost customer trust, and open new horizons for financial inclusion in Libya. The event is sponsored by Libyan private sector bank, Al Yaqeen.
The 3-day event will include:
- Workshops and hands-on challenges on digital payments, customer experience, and financial security.
- A unique collaborative environment to gain hands-on experience and work with the best talent.
- An opportunity to showcase your talents in front of local and international experts, and win valuable prizes.
Yaqeen banks hope the event will:
- Improve the customer experience by bringing banks closer to people with services that are simple, modern, and accessible.
- Be closer to youth and open opportunities for them to learn, co-create, and showcase their talent.
- Build trust, security, and inclusion in financial services for all.
- Position Libya as a regional hub for fintech innovation through collaboration and shared knowledge.
The organisers held an introductory workshop last Tuesday 30 September for the hackathon with IMU College of Management & Technology for students interested in participating in the hackathon.
