Misrata Municipality reported yesterday that a high-level delegation from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited Misrata, headed by Keiichi Iwamoto, Director-General for the Middle East and Africa Bureau, and including several ministry officials, the Ambassador and his accompanying delegation to Libya.

The delegation held a meeting with the mayor and members of the Municipal Council, during which investment and cooperation opportunities in the fields of trade, industry, and sustainable development projects were discussed. They also discussed encouraging Japanese companies to invest in Libya, particularly in Misrata, given its security and strategic advantages.

The visit concluded with a field tour of the central park and the Misrata Free Zone, where the delegation viewed existing projects and the infrastructure supporting investment within the city.
