At an official ceremony at its Tripoli headquarters, the Ministry of Planning yesterday launched the “Libya Vision 2050” project.

Hosted by Planning Minister Mohamed Al-Zaidani, the ceremony was attended by the Minister of Environment, Ibrahim Al-Arabi, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mohamed Al-Treiki, along with a group of experts and specialists from various fields.

In his opening remarks, the Minister of Planning emphasized that the Libya Vision 2050 project represents a national roadmap towards a prosperous future, emphasizing the importance of the cooperation of various institutions and sectors to ensure the project’s success and achieve its ambitious goals. He commended the efforts made by all parties, calling for redoubled efforts to ensure the vision’s implementation on the ground.

For his part, the Minister of Environment emphasized the need to place environmental issues at the core of the project’s priorities, considering environmental safety as the foundation for any comprehensive construction and development process. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture emphasized the importance of developing the agricultural sector and relying on it as a key resource to reduce the import bill and enhance the country’s food security.
