‎Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced yesterday that according to its plan, Libyan fields continue to gradually increase their daily oil and gas production with steady steps.

It reported that crude oil and condensate production had increased yesterday to a total of 1,364,438 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil and 208,000 barrels of gas equivalent.‎

Nafusa Oil’s North Hamada oil field exceeds 10,000 bpd
Today, the NOC announced that the production of the North Hamada oil field, which belongs to the Nafusa Oil Operations Company and is in the contracting area 47 in the Ghadames basin, exceeded the 10,000 barrels per day barrier. The NOC said this is the target rate within the first phase of development.‎

‎Production expected to rise to 14,000 bpd
The NOC added that Nafusa Oil is currently working on the A-1 and A-4 wells remaining from the first phase of development, to be put on production by the end of November, bringing the field’s total production to 14,000 barrels per day.‎

Mellitah Oil & Gas Company restarted the CC13 gas well
Yesterday’s total production announcement follows on from the NOC announcing last Sunday (3 November) that its Mellitah Oil & Gas Company had successfully restarted the CC13 gas well in the Bahr al-Salam field, with a production capacity of 33 million cubic feet of gas and 525 barrel of condensate per day. ‎

Last Saturday (2 November) the NOC had announced that Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company successfully completed the drilling of development well E120 in the contractual area 20 in the Raquba field. This, it said, comes as part of the first phase of development drilling, which aims to install the Qarqaf reservoir north of Raquba at a depth of 5,400 feet, based on the results of recent reservoir studies in the field.‎

‎The NOC said the evaluations of the well on Friday showed promising ‎‎results with a normal flow rate of 900 barrels of oil per day on the volume of the gorge “64/44”.

‎Waha Oil reaches 335,000 bpd
Finally, and also on Saturday (2 November), the NOC publicly expressed its appreciation to Waha Oil Company for reaching a production rate of more than 335,000 bpd – a number that Waha had not achieved for years, the NOC noted.‎

The NOC noted that these developments are in line with its goal to increase its crude oil production as a key component of its long-term energy strategy in line with its ambitious plan to increase oil and gas production.‎
