Mohamed Al-Raied, President of the General Libyan Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, headed a Libyan business delegation to Egypt last Tuesday (26 December), where the delegation met with the President of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers, Ahmed Al-Wakil.

During the visit, the Libyan delegation discussed with the Egyptian side several issues, the most important of which:

  • The possibility of allocating a commercial crossing separately from the crossing for individuals and citizens.
  • The opportunities to enhance the contribution of Egyptian companies in Libyan reconstruction projects and working to overcome the difficulties facing them.

The Union of Chambers reported that the Libyan delegation invited the Egyptian side and Egyptian businessmen to visit Libya to learn more about investment opportunities.

The meeting was attended by the Libyan Consul in Alexandria, Mohammed Saleh Al-Saadi, the President of the Benghazi Chamber of Commerce, Saleh Al-Obaidi, the President of the Giza Chamber of Commerce, Osama Al-Shahed, the Diplomatic Attaché at the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Mohammed Samir, and several Libyan businessmen.
