(GNU).

Prime Minister Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba followed up on the stages of completion and difficulties that accompany the implementation of several strategic projects last Wednesday during a meeting in Tripoli.  He was accompanied by the heads of the Housing and Infrastructure Board (HIB) and the Organisation for the Development of Administrative Centres (ODAC), the two executive agencies of the projects.

Third Ring Road could be ready in 14 months
The head of the HIB, Mahmoud Ajaj, presented a detailed position on the progress of work on the Third Ring Road project, stressing that most of the problems facing its implementation have been addressed, especially after the Prime Minister’s visit to the site and his meeting with the electricity, water and sanitation companies, noting the possibility of completing preparation of the project within 14 months.

Construction of 500 new schools to be started by year-end
For his part, the head of ODAC, Ibrahim Takita, revealed the launch of a project to implement 500 new schools before the end of this year. He provided a general position on the implementation of the project and the technical procedures to identify the targeted schools, sites visits to ensure their readiness, determine the technical specifications and necessary measurements, and issue regulatory approvals.

The head of the Transportation Projects Board, Sami Al-Abash, also presented a position on the work of maintaining and developing the coastal road extending from Tawergha to Ras Ajdir, which was divided into sectors to speed up its completion. He confirmed that the work is proceeding progressively according to the specified timetable, especially after addressing the obstacles and difficulties that faced the implementing companies’ site takeover.

Projects must be completed on time
Aldabaiba, in turn, stressed the necessity of working on all ongoing projects and completing them according to the specified timetables, stressing the necessity of launching the new schools project to meet the increasing need for schools and eliminate shanty schools that are more than 30 years old.
