The Libyan government announced yesterday that direct flights between Tripoli, Benghazi and Misrata to Cairo will resume as of 30 September.
Previously there were only flights from Tripoli to Alexandria.
The announcement of the planned resumption of flights from Libya to Cairo follows on from the visit of Libyan Prime Minister Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba and his high-level delegation last week to Egypt.
During this trip, 20 different agreements were signed with the Egypt including a memorandum of cooperation between the Libyan Ministry of Transport and its Egyptian counterpart.
There have also been agreements over the weekend to resume flights with Malta and Tunisia.
