London, 21 March 2021:

Libyan olive oil ‘‘Libico’’ brand has been exported for the first time to Italy, the Libyan Tunisian Business Council reports.

The olive oil is produced in the Western/Nefusa Mountain city of Gharian by Mishkat company. The company has been working on the product for years, striving to raise its quality to reach international standards. Its olive oil has won prizes for its quality in competitions in European countries.

The landmark has received much Libyan coverage and praise as the first step in Libya’s efforts to create new sources of income beyond oil and gas.
