Libya's Tripoli based Ministry of Interior confirmed today the availability of sufficient quantities of petrol, urging citizens not to crowd at petrol stations or obstruct traffic.

This, as petrol queues continue to be seen around Tripoli.

The Ministry explained that an oil tanker had entered Tripoli port carrying approximately 40 million litres of petrol.

It assured that petrol would be distributed to stations around the clock.

Furthermor, the Ministry added that another tanker is scheduled to arrive at Tripoli port in the coming days, carrying a similar reserve shipment of approximately 40 million litres, which will bolster reserves and ensure the continuity of distribution operations.

The Ministry called on citizens to avoid crowding and congestion at gas stations, emphasizing that fuel pumping and distribution will continue 24/7 and that there is no need to gather to obtain it.

In the same context, the Ministry of Interior tasked Security Directorates in various regions, in coordination with security agencies, with securing petrol stations and regulating traffic in front of them to reduce congestion and ensure the smooth flow of vehicles.
