Libya’s Privatisation and Investment Board (PIB) announced yesterday that it had received a delegation from the Economic Holding Group and Germany’s Nickl & Partners Architects.
Establishing an integrated smart medical city
The two sides discussed an investment proposal to establish an integrated smart medical city in Libya. The PIB reported that the project would feature hospitals, specialized centres, and an advanced healthcare service system adhering to the latest global standards, thereby contributing to the development of the health sector and the provision of advanced medical services.
During the meeting, the PIB also outlined its mandate and role in supporting and encouraging investment, as well as the services it provides to investors. It highlighted the benefits, facilities, and exemptions guaranteed by Investment Promotion Law No. (9) of 2010, which serve to enhance the investment climate and encourage the implementation of strategic projects.
The visiting delegation included the Head of the Strategic Projects Study Team at the Economic Holding Group, the Chairman of Nickl & Partners, and the company’s Regional Director for North Africa and the Middle East, alongside other representatives from both the Group and the company.
The PIB said this meeting is part of its ongoing efforts to forge partnerships with international companies and attract strategic investments that facilitate high-quality development projects, ultimately supporting the national economy and elevating the standard of healthcare services in Libya.
