The Hafter controlled National Development Agency (NDA) announced yesterday the launch of what it called ‘‘one of the largest housing projects in Libya’’ as part of its Libya Vision 2030.
The project involves the construction of 10,000 housing units across Southern Libya and is scheduled to be completed within 12–15 months.
In this context, the NDA invites qualified and experienced companies - foreign and local - specialising in the implementation of large-scale housing projects to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for participation in this project by providing their company profile and basic information.
The NDA said the project is aimed at promoting regional development, strengthening stability across Southern Libya, improving quality of life, providing decent housing for Libyan families, and supporting young men and women.
Expression of Interest Requirements:
The company must be legally registered in its country of incorporation and provide supporting documentation.
The company must have proven experience in the direct execution of housing projects or residential complexes of comparable size and scope.
Submit a list of similar projects completed or currently under execution, including their completion status.
Provide a company profile including the year of establishment, organizational structure, and geographical presence.
Provide evidence of financial capacity and the ability to execute major projects within the specified timelines.
Submit details of the company's technical capabilities, including engineering and administrative personnel, equipment, and machinery.
Demonstrate commitment to internationally recognized standards of quality, safety, and project management.
The company must possess the necessary financial, technical, and managerial capabilities and have previously completed projects similar to the proposed development.
The NDA said this announcement constitutes an invitation to submit an Expression of Interest only. It does not represent a tender invitation or a commitment to enter into a contract. It said it reserves the right to evaluate all submissions and to select the companies that will be invited to participate in the subsequent stages of the process.
