Libya's Man-made River (MMR) Project reported today that its Sarir–Sirte–Tazerbo–Benghazi system has produced a record 1 million cubic meters of water.

The MMR said this is a milestone achieved for the first time since 2011—despite limited resources, high temperatures, and frequent power outages.

It reported that to bolster water supplies, the volume of water flowing into the Omar Al-Mukhtar terminal reservoir has been increased to 80,000 cubic meters per day, up from 40,000; similarly, the inflow to the Al-Qardabiya terminal reservoir has been raised to 40,000 cubic meters per day, up from 10,000.
