Libya’s United Medical Company has opened the first official store for German brand Beurer medical equipment and accessories in Tripoli’s First Mall. This move, United Medical Company says, reflects the brand's expanding presence in the Libyan market following more than two decades of partnership.

The opening ceremony was attended by Daniel Schemske, Chargé d'dffaires at the Germany Embassy in Libya, and Commercial Attaché Sheraz Qazi, alongside Ahmed Abu Khudier, representative of the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce, as well as various businesspeople, stakeholders in the health sector, and guests.

United Medical Company emphasized that the store's opening marks a new milestone in its collaboration with Beurer—a brand it has represented in Libya for over 20 years. The company noted that this step aligns with its commitment to providing high-quality German products and strengthening Libyan consumer confidence.

The company explained that the project reflects years of continuous effort and investment in building a partnership rooted in quality and reliability, despite the challenges the Libyan market has faced in recent years. It affirmed that this success was achieved through a commitment to institutional operations and the ongoing development of services and products.

In an exclusive statement to Libya Herald, Dr. Mohamed Marshan, Chairman of United Medical Company, said that the opening of the first official Beurer store in Libya represents the culmination of a strategic partnership spanning more than twenty years with the German firm.

He added that the move reflects the mutual trust between the two parties and the brand's confidence in the potential of the Libyan market. Marshan added: “Despite the challenges Libya has faced in recent years, we have never wavered in our commitment to providing health products and services that meet German standards. We believe that true investment is rooted in building consumer trust, rather than merely selling products.”

He emphasized that the store’s opening marks not the end of a phase, but the beginning of an expansion plan aimed at strengthening the brand’s presence across various Libyan cities and delivering a comprehensive shopping experience and after-sales services that adhere to the highest international standards. He noted that the company continues to work on bringing in more global brands specializing in the healthcare and home medical equipment sectors.

Marshan concluded his statement by saying: “We view the Libyan market as a promising one, and we believe that Libyan consumers deserve access to authentic, high-quality products through official channels that offer warranties and technical support—a commitment we will continue to uphold in the period ahead.”
