The Libyan Export Development Authority (LEDA) reported yesterday that its Chairman, Mohamed Al-Hungari, held a meeting with Marco Tricomi, member of the Libyan Italian Chamber of Commerce, to discusses joint projects. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the annual Olive Exhibition held in Khoms, 97 kms east of Tripoli on the main coastal road.
During the meeting the two discussed joint investment projects between the two sides in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, industrial investment, and training.
The LEDA Chairman emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with the Italian side in future investment projects to be established in Libya in partnership with Italian companies.
Tricomi, LEDA reported, noted Italy’s keen interest in strengthening trade relations with Libya and creating partnerships in several investment sectors that would benefit both countries. He stressed that investment opportunities in Libya are very important for Italy, given the historical ties and the existing volume of trade.
