The National Oil Corporation announced yesterday the reactivation of the petrol production unit at the Arabian Gulf Oil Company’s (AGOCO) Sarir refinery, after a hiatus of nearly three years, as the first quantity of petrol was pumped into the tanks, to mark the unit’s return to operation.
The resumption of production followed the implementation of maintenance of technical equipment supervised by the refinery’s engineers and technicians, which enabled the unit to be returned to service in accordance with the approved operational requirements.
The resumption of production is expected to boost domestic supplies of fuel and help cover part of the region’s needs, supporting the stability of the refinery’s refuelling operations and operational activity.
